GEMCRO is a biotechnology venture company specializing in the development of customized genetically engineered mouse (GEM) models using CRISPR/Cas9 technology.
Building on pioneering work in the generation of gene-edited mouse models using genome-editing technology (Nature Biotechnology, 2013; Genome Research, 2014), GEMCRO is developing advanced preclinical platform models designed to improve the probability of success in innovative drug development.
With expertise in knockout (KO), knock-in (KI), conditional knockout (cKO), and humanized mouse model development, GEMCRO provides a broad portfolio of models across multiple disease areas, including oncology, immunological disorders, and infectious diseases. We are also expanding collaborations to develop next-generation models with improved disease recapitulation, greater translational relevance to human biology, and enhanced predictability of therapeutic responses.
