MicroMediome Co., Ltd., founded in 2022 as a subsidiary of Korea University's medical technology holding company, is led by CEO Wonsuck Yoon of Korea University College of Medicine's Allergy & Immunology Research Institute. Headquartered at Seoul Bio Hub in the Hongneung R&D district, with an R&D center on Korea University's campus, the company's core business spans microbiome-based anticancer combinations (R+C+I), cosmeceuticals, and AI healthcare. Since its founding, MicroMediome has secured 30+ patents and 20+ software copyrights, been awarded a KRW 7.1 billion national R&D project from the Ministry of Environment, and been selected for Korea's TIPS program in 2024. Exhibit Description
MicroMediome's core technology is a Microbiome-derived Bioactive Platform (MBP) built around the world's first microbiome-based radiosensitizer, forming MBP-Tri-Combo™, a next-generation platform integrating radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. Its key differentiator is boosting anticancer efficacy while easing radiation-related side effects; preclinical validation is complete across colorectal, lung, gastric, and head-and-neck cancer indications, with IND submission targeted for 2026. This core technology also underpins the company's functional healthcare line, split into a health-food line (K-Balance, Recovery Biotics) and a cosmeceutical line (Recovery Ray Stick, RayR Sun Cream), translating platform know-how into near-term commercialization.
