LucasBio is a cell therapy company founded in 2019 as a faculty spin-off by Professor Seok-Goo Cho of the Department of Hematology at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital. The company develops novel cell-based therapies for viral diseases, immune disorders, and cancer by harnessing the immune functions of cells.
With a particular focus on virus-specific memory T-cell therapies, LucasBio has established integrated capabilities spanning R&D, clinical development, and GMP manufacturing. To date, the company has conducted three MFDS-authorized clinical trials and five MOHW-approved advanced regenerative medicine clinical studies. LucasBio also operates an MFDS-designated GCLP Central Lab providing clinical trial sample analysis, including immunogenicity assessment, with the goal of translating scientific research into meaningful therapies for patients.
