Atheon Bio, founded in 2022 in Korea, is a biotechnology company dedicated to developing next-generation antibody therapeutics for refractory solid tumors. Our research focuses on the tumor microenvironment (TME), where we have discovered a novel target overexpressed in tumor endothelial cells that is essential for angiogenesis and tumor progression. Our lead program, ATN001, is a first-in-class antibody that not only blocks tumor blood vessel growth but also reprograms the immune system, offering a differentiated mechanism to overcome both VEGF and PD-1 resistance. Preclinical studies in xenograft, syngeneic, and AMD models have demonstrated strong proof-of-concept efficacy. Building on this foundation, we are advancing a bispecific antibody pipeline, including PD-1/ATN001 for oncology and VEGF/ATN001 for ophthalmology indications such as wet AMD.
