Company Introduction
The Korea Personal Protective Equipment Association (K-PPEA) is a non-profit founded in 1994. By enabling the manufacture and supply of quality PPEs, the Association reduces workplace hazards, builds safer work sites, and supports national competitiveness. Since the Serious Accidents Punishment Act took effect in January 2022, firms must run robust OH&S systems; while demanding, this also opens opportunities for the PPE industry. K-PPEA’s priorities are: on-site guidance to raise PPE compliance; practical training and reference materials; quality improvement and wider access to reliable products; and outreach through exhibitions. Working with government, we advance standards and policy updates, connect testing and certification resources, and help companies meet regulatory requirements. Going forward, we will promote technology innovation, digital safety management, ESG-based supply chains, and steady PPE supply to embed a sustainable safety culture across Korean industrial workplaces.
