Ajou University, which began as an engineering education institution, recognized from the outset the necessity of collaborative research involving industry, academia, and research institutes. In line with the demands of the times, it has consistently worked to establish a support and management system for such cooperation. As a result, from the establishment of the Small and Medium Enterprise Center in 1992 to the inauguration of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation in 2004, Ajou University has continually fulfilled its social responsibility and role as a leader in technological innovation through industry-academia-research consortium projects, the business incubation center, and the technology transfer center.

Moving forward, the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation at Ajou University will strive to build an organic cooperation system among industry, academia, and research institutes through long-term and proactive collaborative research.
